2011

  • Realization of the Annual Prosoja Tour in Brazil from February 1 to 3, 2011. Work was done to strengthen the INASE reference collection test of unpublished soybean cultivars searching for new locations for evaluation. The video "Genetic Improvement of Soybeans in Argentina" was distributed, sending copies of it to all the Improvement / Genetics Chairs of the Universities of the Country. Organization of the First Zonal Meeting of the Central Zone 2011 "Diagnosis of the 2010-11 Campaign, thinking about the future" that was held on 08/31/2011 at the INTA EEA Oliveros and attended by 45 professionals. A dissertation was made at the invitation of the Chair of Improvement of the UNRC on September 1, 2011 on Genetic Improvement of Soya in Argentina and Intellectual Property. Organization of the First Meeting Southern Zone 2011 "Diagnosis of the past Campaign, How to plan the future" on 12/10/2011 in INTA EEA Pergamino. .

  • The Technical Tour of the Central Soil Zone was held, based on Pergamino, in which lectures were held on "Climate change, current situation and probable future situations" by Graciela Magrín de Inta Cautelar, "advances of the topic Differentiation of cultivars to charge of Juan Erman of ASA, "Considerations on the Fertilization of soybeans" by Manuel Ferrari and "state of situation in the protection of plagues of soybean" by Nicolas Ianone and were visited trials of varieties of private companies and trials of I visit the towns of Rojas, Chacabuco, San Antonio de Areco, Salto and Pergamin.

2009

  • Organized the technical tour to Uruguay, 2-4 March. The INIA experimental station at La Estanzuela was visited, where the Director of the Institution Ing. Agr. Enrique Fernandez and the Director of the National Program for Dryland Crops, Sergio Serreta, gave an introduction to the background and activities INIA. Soybean trials were also visited at the locations Dolores and Young, and members participated in the dissertation of Sr. Miguel Carballal, the UPSID President, Mr José Silva, manager of technical relations for INIA who spoke on “The technical business of INIA”, and Joaquín Ponce de León, about the history of the soybean crop in Uruguay, the Uruguay production system and the future of the crop in the country. Finally, Ignacio Rizzo, URUPOV manager, presented the legal regulation of the seed commercialization, the value-capture system for wheat and soybean seed, and Barraca J. Erro Company presented an overview of the company, its logistics, commercialization, and soybean export in Uruguay.
  • The Technical Tour of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay took place from March 2 to 4, 2010. The INIA La Estanzuela was visited, where the Ings. Agrs. Enrique Fernández, Director, and Sergio Cerretta, director of the National Seed Crops Program, informed us about INIA; its composition, structure, financing and research programs. On this occasion, INIA trials of soybean varieties and the national evaluation of summer cultivars and various trials of soybean varieties in the Dolores and Young localities were visited and lectures by Mr. Miguel Carballal, president of UPSID, were held. Mr. José Silva, Manager of Technological Linkage of Inia, with "Technological Business Management of Inia", by Joaquín Ponce de León on the history of soy in Uruguay and his opinions about the Uruguayan productive system and its potential for agriculture and Ignacio Rizzo, URUPOV manager, about the legal framework for the commercialization of seeds, the characteristics of their reserve for their own use, the value capture system for wheat and soybeans, how it is controlled and how it is sanctioned to producers do not comply with the law in the ROU and the company Barraca j. Erro that exposed aspects of the company, logistics, marketing and export of soybeans in Uruguay.
